« Once my mind went there my drawing would become stiff with the unnecessary pressure of being perfect. While what you actually want is for it to be free and experimental, with marks that come alive. » This really struck me, and not just concerning art but concerning life — I will try to remember the lesson ! Thank you !

I didn’t think about it concerning life at the time of writing is, but it definitely hold true in that sense as well. Thank you in turn for reminding me about that!

Very interesting to read Nino, I've seen Sandi Hester doing this all the time as you mentioned. I repeat a lot some of my drawings, but I don't sketch based on the previous, usually I draw from memory the same thing (may add some new elements) so it's definitely not the same... so I should try this too!

It’s a small midset shift, but it really helps for when you want to explore other aspects of the sketch.
